Therapy for Black Women in NYC - Free Consultation Available

Reaching Out Doesn't Mean You Have to Know Exactly What to Say

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, worried, or stuck in the same patterns (and you’re curious about therapy that feels warm, thoughtful, and grounded) you’re welcome to reach out here.

You don’t need a perfect explanation.
You don’t need to be sure.
You just need a place to start.

What happens when you reach out

When you submit the form, you’re requesting a free consultation.

This is a brief, low-pressure conversation where we’ll:

  • talk about what’s been feeling heavy lately

  • explore what you’re hoping for from therapy

  • see whether working together feels like a good fit

There’s no obligation to continue. You’re allowed to take your time deciding what’s right for you.

Who this work is for

This work tends to resonate with Black women who look capable on the outside, but feel emotionally worn down on the inside.

You might worry more than you’d like. Feel irritable or on edge without always knowing why. Or notice that in relationships, you give a lot, hold things in, and then pull back once it feels like too much.

You’re not looking for quick fixes or surface-level advice. You want therapy that helps you understand yourself andrespond differently—at work, with family, and in your relationships.

If any of this feels familiar, this may be a supportive place to start.

How we work

Therapy here is individual, relational, and attachment-based. Sessions are a space to slow things down and pay attention to what’s happening in real time—especially the moments you usually move past quickly.

We focus on building skills you can actually use: noticing your needs earlier, setting boundaries with less guilt, and staying present instead of bracing or shutting down. The pace is steady and respectful, not rushed.

I’m based in New York and work with clients located in New York through telehealth. Evening appointments are available to better fit full schedules.

A note about safety and pace

If reaching out feels vulnerable, that makes sense.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to say or what you’re ready for. Therapy isn’t about performing insight or getting it “right.” It’s about creating enough safety to be honest—one conversation at a time.

We’ll move at a pace that honors your nervous system, not one that pressures you to open up before you’re ready.
